T-Corn Stool

T-Corn Stool combines ready-made traffic pyramids with parametric design, transforming an industrial object into an adjustable, user-responsive seating system.

Project Type:

Computational Design

Year:

2024

Materials:

PVA, PE

Size:

76 x 36 x 36 cm(Large)/ 50 x 32 x 32 cm (Small)

Overview:

The design takes a triangular pyramid as its prototype, integrating a cushion to create a stool. The material is the same soft PVC used in common triangular pyramids on the market. The cushion features parametric design, allowing size adjustments based on user needs. Additionally, variations in mesh density can accommodate different preferences for softness and hardness.

Why design a seat with an equilateral triangular surface??

Using Grasshopper parametric design, organic surface patterns are simulated through generative logic, merging the unpredictability of nature with systematic design to explore a balance between advanced technology and raw natural environments in future mobility.
